 First Transnational Meeting (M1)

Day 1, November 27, 2014

At the first meeting all partners establish the agenda altogether and followed the activities that the project coordinator and the hosting country recommended according to the Application form.

In the first day took place the Official Opening Meeting at Anamur Anadolu Lisesi where participated teachers from the host school, the school manager Selahattin Uzan, Aziz Dağıstan from the Directorate of Education of Anamur, a journalist from a local newspaper and, of course, 4 teachers from each school partner in the project.

The school manager Selahattin Uzan had a welcome discourse in which he mentioned the importance of understanding each other, cooperation and peace.  The project coordinator presented a summary of the project, the objectives and the activities, focusing on achieving objectives, the importance of communication and dissemination.In the end of the opening meeting we exchanged impression about country, the cultural and educational context. In the afternoon, each coordinator was given the necessary time to present their country and city, the educational system, the school to which they belong and the activities they did in the project until the meeting. They have noticed the differences but also the similarities between the educational systems and the importance of encouraging non-formal methods of teaching. At the end of the first day activities we had very interesting discussion with school teachers about educational system and their culture, visited the classrooms and talked with the students.

Day 2, November 28, 2014

In the second day we established responsibilities and deadlines in the project, after negotiation and taking into account the Application Form, the activities at that time in each partner country. Generally, the meetings were established as they were settled in the project, except the meeting in Varna, Bulgaria. It was postponed from June 2014 to September 2014 due to the fact that in each country there are national exams in which teachers were involved. The dates are mentioned in a document which is annexed to this report. There were also, discussion about generally rules of organizing mobility, financial aspects, logo of the project and some visibility issues etc.


Day 3, November 29, 2014

In the third day the coordinator, which is responsible for elaborating the study ”Values and interests of adolescents” presented the interim results of the questionnaire on students' interests and some aspects of the methodology. Even is an activity in 2016, we had an overview of the future methodological guide. Each participating country had an eloquent contribution to achieve the purpose of Transnational meeting on the basis of their consistent presentation materials, supported by arguments and concrete examples.    

The coordinators had a very interesting meeting with the Governor of Anamur who invited us in his office. We talked about economical, educational and cultural issues related to our country and about the Forum Theatre project and its objectives. At this official meeting also participated the school manager Selahattin Uzan and Aziz Dağıstan from the Directorate of Education of Anamur.
